Wondering how to transition out of your cozy (but dark) layered winter style to fresh spring looks? Here are two key moves to get you there.
First Key: Hosiery
- Oh I know, such an old fashioned term, but the fabric that does (or does not) cover your feet and legs is the first key to transitioning between seasons.
The trick here is to start letting those ankles show! No show socks and ankle length pants will make all the difference to making you feel so fresh & so free!
The opposite hosiery move will work as well. Cover up those legs!
Wear your kickiest skirt or a spring dress with a new coquette-style hair bow and then cover those legs with the thickest, the coziest, the most matte-black tights you can find.
Second Key: Ditch the darks.
Let's face it, we've all embraced dark (and dreary) black and gray clothes in the winter. Time go for a pop of lightness now. Or maybe even head to toe, but make it light, bright or white.
Extra easy approach: Try a warm but light-colored neutral wooly jacket to pop over a white t-shirt, jeans or leggings. You'll still be warm but your look will be so much lighter!
Love the pieces you put together, the total looks & appreciate the transitioning tips! Thanks!
