I love to take a basic item, that almost anyone might own and style it up. Here I started with a plaid flannel shirt that I call 'holiday pajama plaid'.
I took the basic flannel shirt up several style notches with these three key items:
Collar pin - this one is pretty steampunk, and the more vintage and unique the pin, the better! I especially like Etsy sellers Fluffy Raccoon and alapopjewelry for unique collar pins.
Fingerless gloves - mine are from Penelope's in Chicago and they currently have a leopard print version on sale. I really like leopard print mixed with plaid to make a look jump out.
Dressy bottoms - I styled a version with an outrageously fluffy tulle skirt but also a version with cuffed black jeans & wore sculpted black heeled boots with both looks.
What I am wearing:
The looks work in many different settings, so pull out your basic plaid flannel & make it pop with a pin, fingerless gloves and sleek black bottoms cinched with a black belt. XOXO
The plaid flannel with tulle skirt is so fun! Great to use what you have in fresh combos!!
